PXG 0311 irons by generation: GEN4 to GEN8 and used prices
PXG's 0311 irons have gone through five generations since 2021, and PXG cut its prices sharply along the way. That changes what older sets are worth. Here's how to tell each generation apart and what used sets sell for. Jump to used prices.

T, P, XP: which is which?
- T (Tour): the smallest head, for better players.
- P (Players): a mid-size players' iron, the most popular model.
- XP (Xtreme Performance): the largest and most forgiving.
- ST: a blade, made in the GEN4 generation.
How to tell the generations apart
- GEN8: adjustable 12g weights in both the heel and toe, the clearest difference from GEN7.
- GEN7: a titanium bezel and an internal toe weight; QuantumCOR filling.
- GEN6: a thinner face insert than GEN5; only P and XP were made.
- GEN5: heavier tungsten weights in the heel and toe than GEN4. Black Label Elite versions have a black DLC finish.
- GEN4: five weight screws on the back (two at the toe, two at the heel, one large center weight), down from nine on earlier generations.
Why PXG's price cuts matter
A GEN5 iron cost $350 new in 2022. GEN6 launched a year later at about $219, roughly 37% less, and new PXG irons have stayed around $229 since. So older sets should be valued against today's new price, not what they originally cost.
What used PXG 0311 iron sets sell for
| Generation | Typical used price | Median | Listings in sample |
|---|---|---|---|
| GEN8 (2026) | $718–$975 | $897 | 30 |
| GEN7 (2024) | $554–$791 | $677 | 32 |
| GEN6 (2023) | $490–$680 | $585 | 17 |
| GEN5 (2022) | $390–$485 | $455 | 9 |
| GEN4 (2021) | $410–$500 | $430 | 14 |
| Black Ops | $475–$600 | $559 | 11 |
Prices mix T, P and XP sets and different set sizes. GEN4 sets sell for nearly as much as GEN5 because both cost about $350 a club new; the big drop comes with GEN6, when PXG cut its prices. A seven-club GEN8 set costs about $1,600 new, so a used one at about $900 saves roughly 45%.
