TaylorMade P770 by year: how to tell every generation apart

2020 P770
The 2020 model brought the P770 up to date with a forged hollow body filled with SpeedFoam for ball speed and a solid feel. Next to the 2023 version, the head looks a little larger at address.
2023 P770
TaylorMade announced this version in late 2022, and it reached stores in January 2023. It switched to SpeedFoam Air, which TaylorMade says is 69% less dense than the original SpeedFoam, and paired it with the thinnest face TaylorMade had made. In one magazine test it flew a 6-iron about 7 yards farther than the 2020 set with less spin.
2024 P770
The 2024 version is an evolution rather than a redesign. Look for the Tour Satin Scratch finish, minimal stamping, a thinner topline, and a sharper leading edge on the long irons. It launched at $1,399.99 for a set, with Dynamic Gold Mid 115 as the stock shaft.
